There are two things that I'd like to accomplish before I leave this mortal plane - one is to write something exceptional, unspeakably beautiful and poignant enough to interest, say, Houghton Mifflin. The other is to design a line of fabric for a company like, let's say, MODA!!! If anyone out there in blogland knows how to get the attention of such a superior fabric concern, I'm all ears.
So here is the almost finished baby quilt, made in mostly-Moda. I need to finish the binding and wash this before i can send it to live in Baltimore. The light was good tonight - this first turn-those-freakin'-clocks-back, Sunday! It always takes me a while to readjust to the time change - how about you?

I figure before I figure out how to submit something to Moda I should design something worthy of them. Let me know if you figure it out though...
Hi Precious. Well, I sew for them and know their company vendors. Is that close enough to the Moda Powers That Be? From what I can see, a line of fabric can contain what - a dozen at least, different fabrics in different colorways? Start drawing girl. You design the fabrics and I will talk to their people. They come to us I think every three weeks. When I tell you that we are a big quilter's store, I mean we are. We have a huge influence in the quilting world her in the US.
Oh, and they like to have patterns to go with the line of fabric. A quilt, a bag, kids clothes, aprons, pin cushions, I can design a box for you that is very very different made from Moda fabrics. People love making boxes and the boxes I use to make in NH are very different from anything I have ever seen. Totally undone. Little patterns to put their name on. They love their name.
