riverlove

My daughter and I went up on the railroad bridge -
Below, the water had taken on a new appearance - blue and green and grey and teeming with life.
The air had that fine clear edge of spring -
My daughter is the best company!  And yes, she is wearing the headband that I made for her.
This old river has a life force that rises and falls with the tides.  It is home to a vast array of creatures, both mammal and aquatic.  I feel lucky to be included in that mix.

Wow - that river is beautiful! I grew up on the St. Lawrence River and I have to go visit it regularly to get my "fix."

Hi Jody! The river looks so refreshing and peaceful, what a great day you must have had! Tony and I lived for a year in Switzerland in 1997, and our apartment was only about 40ft. from the Rhine River. It was so wonderful and I will never forget the constant sound of the rushing river. It was especially delightful at night in the Spring before all the bugs arrived. We would go to sleep at night with our windows opened and the sound of the water was like a lullabye. Delisa :)
